The Märkische Scholarship for Music is awarded by the Märkischen Kulturkonferenz e.V. The grant of € 12,000 is awarded every year for a specific instrument and awarded to the Kulturhaus Lüdenscheid after public performance. All German music colleges, which are allowed to nominate one applicant per location, are eligible to apply for the scholarship. In selecting the scholarship holder (s), the public has been awarded one vote since 2003, in addition to the members of the jury.
