Naďa Benešová became the first national champion in Czechoslovakia in 1961, where she was successful both in the mixed and in the midsummer. Seven other titles were won by 1966. It was particularly worthwhile to promote badminton sports. For the EBU, she published the statistical manuals. She worked professionally as an author and translator.
