Bases of Segovia

Bases of Segovia is a document drafted in Segovia by the Assembly of Diputaciones Castellanas in the last days of the month of January 1919 with a view to elaborate the so-called Laws of Castile that approach Castile, in some aspects, more to a " mancomunidad ".

The newspaper El Adelantado de Segovia defined the concerns of the event in this way: "The project of the Castilian Diputations, in its total sense, constitutes a work of reflection and success, marks a maximum of aspirations (...) but to become regional autonomy, we believe that in Segovia will have built the mold where the future conception of legislator will be drained. "

Some of the agreements adopted, among others, by the Assembly of Castilian Provincial Councils assembled in Segovia in 1919 were: to create a monument in the Monolith to the Comuneros that reminded the Comuneros; creation of an office or technical service trained to contribute to the information of the representatives of Agriculture in the Board of Tariffs and Assessments; and the organization by the deputations of an insurance against hail.
