Ulrich Hoefer

Ulrich Gottlieb Christian Franz Hoefer was a German classical philologist and high school teacher

After attending the Eberhard-Ludwigs-Gymnasium in Stuttgart, Hoefer, son of the writer Edmund Hoefer, studied classical philology in Tübingen and Greifswald and was promoted in Tübingen on 14 December 1882. In 1885 he passed the examinations for the higher Lehramt, then worked as an assistant lecturer at grammar schools in Belgard, Anklam, Greifenberg, Stettin, and Wesel until 1896-1896 he became a high school teacher in Gymnasium in Trarbach and from 1896 to 1899 to Wesel , Since March 1, 1899, he was a teacher at the Gymnasium in Saarbrücken.
