Alexis Martin
Alexis Martin (* 1834; † 1904) was a French writer.
Martin was friends with the writers Louis de Fourcaud and Charles-Augustin Sainte-Beuve. The common interest in contemporary literature also led to contact with other Parnassiens. Later, the publisher Alphonse Lemerre became attentive to Martin and included some of his poems in the later famous anthology Le Parnasse contemporain. Today, Martin is a part of this literary society.
