Pitsos was founded in Athens in 1865, producing oil furnaces and gas furnaces. 1959 began the production of refrigerators, the program was extended to other household appliances such as television. In 1977 Siemens took over the company, later the company was renamed to BSP (brand still Pitsos). While Pitsos devices are sold in other countries under the names of Siemens and Bosch, the program in Greece will be supplemented with other devices from the BSH Hausgeräte Group. The company employs 1200 people and manufactures 400,000 machines a year, of which 30% are exported.
