Diego Ibarra is a municipality (municipality) in the state of Carabobo, northern Venezuela.
It has an area of only 79 km². Diego Ibarra borders the north and east with the state of Aragua with the national park Henri Pittier, the coastal mountains and the districts Mario Briceño Iragorry and Girardot; to the south, it is bordered by the Valenci Lake and to the west by the San Joaquín district in the west.
Diego Ibarra was founded on 3 December 1781 as a parish (Parroquia) and raised to the municipality on 13 August 1981.
