Juozas Žilys

Juozas Žilys graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Vilnius in 1967 after completing his high school diploma at the middle school. From 1990 he worked as the head of the legal department in the Supreme Soviet. From 1993 to 1999 he was the judge and the President of the Constitutional Court. After that, he promoted at the Law Faculty of the Law Academy of Lithuania and was a lecturer, from 1999 lecturer, from 2000 dean and professor.
His lectures at Mykolas Romeris University are courses in Lithuanian constitutional law and constitutional disputes. His fields of research are the history of constitutionalism and constitutional justice. Juozas Žilys is the author of more than 60 scientific articles and a keeper of international and national conferences.
