Alfred Clarence Redfield
Alfred Clarence Redfield (* 15. November 1890 in Philadelphia; † 17. März 1983 in Woods Hole (Massachusetts)) war ein US-amerikanischer Ozeanograph.
Redfield discovered the redfield ratio named after him, which determines the proportions of the atomic composition of maritime phytoplankton. Redfield's research results were used by James Lovelock to formulate the Gaia hypothesis.
