Jasmaḫ-Addu (also Jasmaḫ-Adad) was according to middle chronology from 1792 to 1773 v. Chr. King of Mari.
He was son of Šamši-Adad I and younger brother of Išme-Dagan I. He was appointed king by his father in Mari, where he remained in power for 19 years. Shortly after the death of his father, however, he was deposed by Zimri-Lim. The correspondence between Jasmḫ-Addu, his father, and his brother, who ruled in Ešnunna, was found in the archives of Mari. In these, Jasmaḫ-Addu appears as a rather weak leader, who was mainly interested in women, horses and fast contests. Edit source text
