Gema Jurkūnaitė

Gema Jurkūnaitė (born 26 February 1945 in Kruciai, municipality of Mažeikiai) is a Lithuanian politician. Edit LifeQualtext

After completing her high school diploma in 1962 at the Tirkšlia Junior High School, she graduated with a diploma in Lithuanian language and literature at the Vilniaus universitetas in 1967, and in 1972 she became an aspirant at the Chair of Philosophy at the VU. From 1967, she taught at the Faculty of Kaunas of the VU as a lecturer. From 1992 to 1996 she was a member of Seimas. From 1997, she taught at Vilniaus technikos kolegija.

From 1967 she was a member of Lietuvos komunistų partija, from 1990 the LDDP and from 2001 to 2005 the LSDP. Weblinks Edit sourcetext
