Theodor Basselet of La Rosée, son of Joseph Adolph Basselet of La Rosée, studied at the University of Landshut. In 1821 he became a member of the Corps Bavaria Landshut. After studying, he took over the Bavarian officer's career and became Generalmajor and Adjutant of the Bavarian King Maximilian I. Joseph. In 1854 he became an educator of the Princes Ludwig and Otto.
