Bar-Rakib was from 733 v. King of Sam'al (Zincirli, Turkey). He was the son of Panam-muwa II, and was succeeded by Tukulti-apil-EÅ¡arra III. on the throne. The duration of his reign is not known, but since many buildings have been erected and monuments inscribed with inscriptions, this must have been long enough. These documents include, among other things, his family history, which is known as his grandfather, Panam-muwa I, was murdered as part of a family feud. Edit source text
