Bikutsi
Bikutsi, also Bikud-si, Bikudsi, Bikut-si, is a music and dance form, which is performed in the south of Cameroon. It is attributed to the people of the Beti, which mainly lives in the regions Center and Sud of the country. Bikutsi is played on xylophones (mendzan) as well as on slit drums (minkul) and on the zither mvet. The "modern" variant, which has been heard in the discotheques since the 1980s, is played with electric guitars, bass, drums, keyboards and singing.
