André Marchand

André Marchand is a piano teacher at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart, Germany.

He started playing the piano at the age of three and developed as a member of the Dresdner Kreuzchor. At age 27, he was a piano teacher at the University of Wisconsin and an artist at the Center of New Music.

At age 30 he accepted the invitation to become a piano teacher at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Friborg, and since 1985 he teaches piano at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart. He is a founding member of the Rotary Club Freibur-Zähringen and member of the UNICEF International Foundations, Malteser and Johanniter.
