Shalosh Regalim
Table served for the celebration of the traditional family sieré of Pesach. Shelóshet Haregalim (in Hebrew, שְׁלֹשֶׁת הַרְגָלִים, "The Three Pilgrimages"), is the name given to the three Jewish festivities of Pesach, Shavuot and Sukkot, during which the Jewish people used to pilgrimage to the Temple of Jerusalem and offer offerings. In Hebrew, the word used to designate these three festivities is jag (Hebrew, חָג, "festival," and also "circular movement"), which refers to the habit of circling around an object, characteristic of some pilgrimage rituals (for example, the Muslim pilgrimage to the city of Mecca, and the circumambulation of the Kaaba)
The three festivities are prescribed by the biblical text, and are strongly linked to seasonal changes and agricultural life.
