Quirin Baron von Hohnstedt (* 1640; † 1699) was a Kurbrandenburg generalmajor, Mr von Sulzau, Weitenburg and Erdeborn Edit LifeQualtext
His parents were Quirin Liebrich of Hohnstedt, heir to Blankenburg and Erdeborn, and his wife Barbara, born of Peusten. She was the daughter of the castle chief Karl von Peusten.
Hohnstedt was on duty in Swedish service, and on September 8, 1683, he was colonel and chief of the 2nd Swedish Circle Regiment on horseback. In 1690 he changed to Kurbrandenburgische Dienst and died there in 1699.
He married Maria Magdalena Streiff of Loewenstein, daughter of the General Hans Jürgen Freiherr Streiff of Löwenstein. The couple had a joint daughter Juliane, who was married to General Jean Quirin de Forcade. His son Eberhard Wilhelm was a district councilor in the Beeskow-Storkow district and was married to Charlotte Christine von Einbeck. Edit source text
