Prince Bayezid or Bayezid (1 December 1612, Istanbul - 27 July 1635) was an Ottoman prince. Biography
He was born between 1611 and 1612, being the fourth son of Sultan Ahmed I. Like his brother Osman II grew up along with the sons of Sultana Kösem. He lived during the Sultanate of Osman II thanks to the abolition of the law of fraticide. However in 1635 he was assassinated. He was buried next to his father in the Blue Mosque. In 1672 the famous writer and poet Jean-Baptiste Racine wrote a tragedy to commemorate this prince called "Bajezed" Sources
