K.K. Jiji Tsūshinsha Jiji Tsūshinsha is a Japanese news agency based in Chūō, Tokyo Prefecture. Jiji Tsūshin has around 1,000 employees and has 79 national and 28 foreign offices, including a correspondent office in Frankfurt am Main. In addition to her Japanese services, she also offers an English-speaking service. In 1945, the occupation authorities (SCAP / GHQ) smashed the state Dōmei Tsūshinsha, established in 1936, creating the two major Japanese news agencies of the post-war period: Kyōdō Tsūshin and Jiji Tsūshin.
