Flag of Berlin
The flag of Berlin. Proportions 3: 5. The flag of government use. Proportions 3: 5.
The flag of the city of Berlin consists of a rectangular cloth divided into three horizontal stripes, red upper and lower and white central. The width of the central strip is three times greater than that of each of the exteriors. The proportions of the flag are 3: 5. In the central strip the bear is represented, which is the central element of the city shield, placed slightly offset towards the side closest to the mast. The version of governmental use incorporates in its central part the complete shield, with its edge and the crown, also moved slightly towards the mast.
The current design of the Berlin flag was approved on 26 May 1954 and in 1990 became the only symbol for the whole city after the reunification of Germany. Source
