Danny Heifetz (born 1964) is an American musician best known for being the drummer for Mr.Bungle. His specialization is percussion, but he knows how to play the trumpet. He is the grandson of the violinist Jascha Heifetz. Biography
Grandson of Jascha Heifetz, therefore with roots of Lithuania. He is not an original member of Mr.Bungle. According to Trevor Dunn, Danny is the funniest person he's ever met.
Apart from Mr.Bungle, he played drums in a group called "Dieselhed" in the 90s. He became involved for a time with the band of his companion Trey Spruance, Secret Chiefs 3. He has collaborated with musicians like Virgil Shaw, Mike Patton, Australian musicians, among others. Right now he resides in Australia with his wife Grace, where he has formed a family. Former teammate Clinton "Bär" McKinnon resides there too.
Recently, Heifetz plays with his new band "The Curse of Company", where they released their album this year (2008), "Leo Magnets Joins A Gang". Followed by a short tour in Australia. He appears as a guest musician on the self-titled album of "The Tango Saloon". He plays percussion in the music of the film "A Perfect Place." Discography
