Věra Vítová

Věra Vítová is a Czech local politician. She was the mayor of Teplice nad Metují in Okres Náchod, Czech Republic from 1998 to 2002.

In 2003, the mayor was granted the Franz Werfel Human Rights Award for the establishment of the Cross of Reconciliation (Kříž smíření) in Teplice nad Metují for the Sudeten Germans murdered on the Buková Hora (Buchenberg) in 1945 and all of them during their term of office in 2002 Victims of national conflicts in this region and a brave sign of the dialogue between Germans and Czechs.
