Semi-finished product
A semi-finished product or half-finished product is an intermediate step between a raw material and a consumer good. Raw materials are transformed into semi-finished products, and these, later to consumer goods. For example, the wood of a tree (raw material) is first transformed into planks or slats (semi-finished products) and, subsequently, a table or a piece of furniture (consumer goods) is created from these slats or planks. >
