Sébastien Basson, also known as Sebastiano Basso or Sebastianus Basso (in Latin), Sebastian Basso or Sebastian Basson (in Spanish) (ca. 1573 -?) was a French natural physicist and philosopher of the early seventeenth century.
Sébastien, originally from Lorraine in the Metz region, was an early theoretician of the theory of matter based on both atoms and their compounds. His natural philosophy, with its eclectic tint, takes on aspects of different currents of thought, such as the Italian Renaissance naturalism, alchemy and Calvinist theology. they do not know the date and place of his death.
