Nünighoff began his studies at the University of Cologne in 1927 and finished it in 1930. Subsequently, he was an auditor, especially at Price and Waterhouse & amp; Co. is active. In 1940 he became a group auditor of the United Oberschlesische Hüttenwerke in Gleiwitz and later took over the finance and accounting department. At the end of the Second World War, Nünighoff was sent by the Red Army in 1945 to Kazakhstan for forced labor. Five years later, he returned to Germany and became a member of the board of Hessische Berg- und Hüttenwerke AG, which was separate from the Buderus ironworks in 1952. His responsibilities were in the areas of purchase and sales as well as finance and accounting. At the same time he was active in various other institutions. He was for twelve years in the Presidium of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Wetzlar, as well as in various associations and associations of the iron industry and science.
