Menet was an ancient Egyptian king's daughter. It is mainly known for its inscribed sarcophagus, which is situated in a grave location next to the Pyramid of Sesostris III. (about 1872 BC to about 1852 BC) in Dahshur. Therefore it is often assumed that she was the daughter of this ruler, who was probably under King Sesostris III. or Amenemhet III. was buried. Menet was buried in a burial chamber, which branches off from a corridor. On this underground corridor, there were various burials of royal ladies whose burial chambers were all accessible from the main passage. However, all these burials were already deprived of their rediscovery in modern times. Menet himself was once buried in a limestone chimney.
