Poseidon is sitting at his desk and makes calculations of the seas he has to manage. For his job, he may have staff, but he prefers to work alone. Poseidon does not like his work but sees no alternative.
Poseidon laments that people imagine him constantly traveling the seas with his trident, since he is always in the depths of the oceans, doing continuous calculations and almost never enjoys the sea. Only on his occasional trips to the god Jupiter, of whom he often returns furious, he sees the sea during his rapid ascent to Olympus. He fears that he will have to wait until the end of the world to have a quiet moment and enjoy the sea. Shape
The story consists of two paragraphs. The narrative perspective is neither established nor changed between paragraphs. An anonymous narrator tells the story, while an impersonal perspective, from someone higher, adds ironic remarks.
The second paragraph is dominated by Poseidon's dissatisfaction, but neither is the narrator.
