The Basilica of Echternach

The Echternach International Festival is an international music festival that takes place in May and June every year since 1975 in Echternach in the east of Luxembourg. In addition to classical music, modern works are performed in Saint-Willibrord's Basilica of the XVIII century and in the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. Since 2008, there is also a jazz festival in September and October. Renowned international artists such as Yehudi Menuhin, Gidon Kremer, Mstislav Rostropovitch, Maurice André, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Yo-Yo Ma, Bobby McFerrin and Jordi Savall performed at this festival.
