Edward Neumeier

Edward Neumeier (* 1957) is an American screenwriter and producer.

He wrote his first screenplay for RoboCop in 1987. For this, he was awarded the Saturn Award in 1988. Ten years later, another of his books was filmed, again by Paul Verhoeven: Starship Troopers emerged. He also wrote the script for the two sequels Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation and Starship Troopers 3: Marauder. With the latter, he also made his debut as a director. The script for Anacondas: The hunt for the blood orchid also comes from his pen. In 2017 Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars, he was again responsible for the screenplay.
