Tempti-Huban-Inšsinak

Tempti-Huban-Inšušinak was an elamite king, who from about 664 to 653 BC, Chr. Reigned. He appears in Assyrian sources as Te-Umman. This equality is not uncontroversial.

After the defeat and death of the predecessor Urtak, Tempti-Huban-Inšušinak, possibly with Assyrian help, was put on the throne. The Urtaks family fled to Mesopotamia. Tempti-Huban-Inšušinak was obviously not related to his predecessor's family. He describes himself as the son of Šilhak-Inšušinak II.

653% Chr. Tempti-Huban-Inšušinak attacked the Assyrians. It came to a battle on the Ulai river, Tempti-Huban-Inšušinak was beaten and allegedly beheaded directly from Aššur-bani-apli.

Tempti-Huban-Inšušinak is also known for temple construction in Susa. Edit source text
