Magnus von Horn successfully completed his studies at the State Academy of Film, Television and Theater Łódź in 2013. Several months after his studies in Poland, Horn was violently attacked. According to this traumatic experience, he has been dealing mainly with the crime of crime since then. Since his short film debut in 2006 with Radek, all of his films have been awarded with several film journeys. His feature film debut, Efterskalv, from 2015, was about a man returning to his home community after a term of imprisonment and fighting for forgiveness. He won several nominations for the Swedish filmmaker Guldbagge, among others, as Best Film and received an award as Best Director from Horn.
