Gerhard Mähner
Gerhard Mähner (born April 3, 1910 in Bad Neustadt an der Saale, Germany, 8 August 1970 in Nuremberg) was a German National Socialist student functionary. Edit LifeQualtext
Mähnner studied law at the universities of Munich and Erlangen and was a member of the Munich Wingolf in 1929-1934. As early as 1926-27 he had joined the Confederation, the SA in 1927 and the NSDAP in 1928. In 1929 he became a member of the National Socialist German Students' Union (NSDStB) and took over the position of university leader at the University of Munich in 1930. In 1931/32, he was a fraction leader of the NSDStB in the AStA of the University of Erlangen, 1931 to 1933 AStA chairman. In 1934, he became head of the Political Education Center in the Reichsleitung of the NSDStB in 1934, and in November 1936 he was head of the Political Education Department of the Reichsstudentensführung, and was appointed Reichsstudentenführer for disciplinary and honorable matters. In 1937 he was appointed SA-Obertrupp leader. From September 1940 to May 1941, he served as managing director of the Reichsstudenten leadership, but was then drafted as a lieutenant
After 1945 he settled down as a lawyer in Nuremberg. After the war, he became the first managing director of the Alter Wingolfiten association, until his retirement in 1964. Edit source text
