Bartley Gorman

Bartley Gorman (born March 1, 1944 in Giltbrook, Nottinghamshire - † January 18, 2002) was a famous roving Romani Irishman, boxing champion without gloves in the UK and Ireland. He is considered the most famous boxer of boxing's modern times without gloves, not only in Britain if not the world. Biography Between 1972 and 1992 he held the title of Bareknuckle Champion of Great Britain and Ireland, often called simply "King of the Gypsies", during these years of glory, fought many fights without to know defeat, maintaining the title until the decision of its retirement in 1992.
