University of Ponta Grossa

The State University of Ponta Grossa (Ponta Grossa State University in Portuguese) is one of five public universities sponsored by the state of Paraná, Brazil.

The institution has two campuses in the city of Ponta Grossa, as well as one in each of the cities: Telêmaco Borba, Palmeira, Castro (Brazil), São Mateus do Sul and Jaguariaíva. The academy has 28 courses, with over 10,000 students and over 1,500 faculty and staff.

The university is known in Brazil as a center of excellence in journalism, tourism, law, biology, pedagogy, chemistry, and dentistry.
