Southern California Institute of Architecture

The Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) was founded in 1972 by Ray Kappe in Santa Monica and is an independent teaching institute for architecture. It is located in the Arts District of Los Angeles since 2001.

The institute, where Thom Mayne was initially a lecturer, offers courses for the B.A. and M.Arch. degree. SCI-Arc is one of the American academies of architecture, which enjoys a worldwide reputation for the quality of its education.
