Shawn Baltazor
Shawn Baltazor (* um 1985) is an American jazz musician (drums, percussion, composition).
Baltazor is from California and has already played with ten different bands, ranging from rock and roll to New Orleans jazz. After moving to the US East Coast he attended William Paterson University. During this time he played with Clark Terry, Slidehampton, Wynton Marsalis, Joe Lovano and Kenny Garrett. Baltazor worked with Carl Maguire and Brett Sroka in the formation Ergo (Album Multitude, Solitude, Cuneiform) from the end of the 2000s and the following decade with Roxy Cross and the Nathan Eklund Group. In 2014, he presented his debut album Lionsong with his own compositions, in which Seamus Blake, Ben Monder, Sam Harris and Ben Street participated. He also wrote music for the New Yorker Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company, Eric Reed, Kermit Driscoll and Darcy James Argue. Weblinks Edit sourcetext Single-level Edit source text
