Franz Meindel
Franz Meindel (born September 11, 1902 in Bamberg, Germany, December 4, 1983) was a German street builder.
Meindel attended the Volks- und Berufsschule, did his apprenticeship as a master craftsman in the road construction industry and from 1927 worked as a freelance contractor for road and civil engineering. From 1945 to 1965 he was the master of the building trade and Kreishandwerksmeister. After being elected vice president in 1965, he served from 1966 to 1979 as President of the Chamber of Craftmen of Upper Franconia, and afterwards became its honorary president. He was also a founding member and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Volksbank Bamberg and from 1972 to 1975 a member of the Bavarian Senate.
