Cumbres de Curumo is an urbanization located in the Baruta municipality, in the metropolitan area of ​​Caracas, Miranda state of Venezuela.

Toponymy

In the Caribbean language "Curumo" was the word with which the tribe that inhabited in pre-Columbian times the "Valley of the Caracas" referred to the Zamuro, the most abundant bird of the zone, by which it would mean the intention of the developers in making known the sector as Las Cumbres del Zamuro. characteristics

It borders on the north with Santa Monica Hills (Libertador Municipality) and Bello Monte Hills (Baruta Municipality), on the south with Prados del Este (Baruta Municipality), on the east with Los Campitos (Baruta Municipality), and to the west with Fort Tiuna (Military Zone).

A residential area, with buildings that do not exceed five floors and located in the southeast of Caracas, the community of "Cumbres de Curumo" in the last years has dedicated its efforts to improve its services, especially in three directions. It is thus that they work in the Food Table, Water Table and Security Table .... Cumbres de Curumo has a population of 10 thousand inhabitants, begins to the South, with a Police Module and fanalizes to the North around Los Campitos. It is crossed by a main avenue of two directions separated by an island. This road has a service road, something exceptional in the city.
