White Bug
The White ruling was one of the most important border faults between Panama and Costa Rica. It was dictated by Edward D. White, president of the Supreme Court of Justice of the United States of America, on September 12, 1914. The demarcation of the White Judgment was rejected by the Panamanians, since it was transferred through it Costa Rica, the disputed canton of Talamanca and its capital, Sixaola. In addition, Panama lost a considerable portion of the Caribbean Sea's coastline. Due to the ruling, the Republic of Costa Rica decides to execute the provisions of the White Judgment, taking the region of Coto. This action caused annoyance to Panama giving beginning to the Coto War, 21 of February of 1921.
