Urdaneta Field
Campo Urdaneta is one of the sectors that make up the city of Cabimas in the state of Zulia (Venezuela), belongs to the parish of La Rosa. Campo Urdaneta takes its name in honor to Rafael Urdaneta (1788 - 1845) procer of the independence of Venezuela native of the state Zulia, outstanding General in Chief and president of Great Colombia.
LocationCampo Urdaneta is located between the Campo Hollywood area to the east (av Hollywood), the Domes to the south, the industrial area of Salina to the north and west.
Residential areaCampo Urdaneta is one of the oil fields that still exist in the city of Cabimas, was built by PDVSA's predecessor company (Creole Petroleum Corporation, and the houses were extended and remodeled in the 70's by Lagoven) to provide room for their workers. The Urdaneta houses are more modest than those of Las Cúpulas and those of Campo Hollywood, and they were destined to workers payroll smaller or with few years in the company, just as its counterparts have near and watchtower. Originally 96 homes were built on 4 streets, now and after being part of the housing controlled by the Mayor since 1978 has been developing and now there are 127 counting those built on the land that border the Campo Domes and in additional constructions realized within the same land of the existing houses. Campo Rojo is one of the sectors that make up the city of Cabimas, it is a part of Campo Urdaneta that gives to the Hollywood, occupied by trailers trailers planned as housing for new workers in the industry. Not to be confused with the Red Field of Lagunillas, which is a large field of houses and several kilometers, which has in common is that as Field of Lagoven, was named as a color, there are also the fields White and Green.
