Pozo Santo (Porches)

The Holy Well (sometimes also called Holy Well of the Virgin) is a well located village of Porches, parish of Lagoa, district of Faro, Portugal.

Located on the Pozo Santo road, linking the towns of Caramujeira / Valle del Rey, parish of Lagoa, to the town of Porches, the exact date of the construction of this well is currently unknown, but it is known that was always considered as a sacred place and pilgrimage by the Christian people for the payment of promises, ask for the Blessed Virgin Mary, or simply for a Marian devotion, and can be visited on foot or in motor vehicles. >

Next to the Holy Well was built a small monument / chapel dedicated to Our Lady.
