Aiklos

Aiklos (ancient Greek Ἄικλος) is an Attic hero of Greek mythology.

He is the brother of Ellops and Kothos and was the founder of the city of Eretria on the island of Euboia, his brother Kothos was the founder of the nearby town of Chalcis. Plutarch calls Xuthos as the father of the two.

The grammarian Stephanos of Byzantium, differing from other traditions, states that Aiklos and Kothos are the founders of the Euboean city of Eleutheris. Edit source text Edit the source text
