Rio Juncal
For other uses of this term, see Juncal (disambiguation).
The Juncal is a river that is located in the Region of Valparaíso of Chile. With a length of 35 kilometers, it has its origin in the Juncal hill (specifically in the Juncal Norte glacier) of the Andes mountain range, receiving the contribution of numerous ravines, also of glacial origin. These include El Juncalillo and the effluent (which evacuates or drains) from the lagoon of the Inca (located next to the winter sports center of Portillo, at 3,200 masl). It finishes its course like tributary of the Aconcagua river, to 1,430 msnm, with the White river.
