Parochial church of Sant Joan de Moró


The parish church of San Juan de Moró (Province of Castellón, Spain) was built in 1887, when it was a nucleus of only ten or twelve houses.

It was located in the geographic center of the surrounding nuclei. Already in 1910 the bishop of Tortosa appoints a vicar. In 1941 the main altar is built, now disappeared. In 1945 the bell tower is erected. In 1968 will undergo a great reform disappearing enough decorative elements.

The church is of rectangular plan of great diaphanidad, vault of half point and collateral chapels. Importance inside it, has the spiral staircase that ascends to the choir, all in wood, the image Virgin of Dolores, a Christ with imitation of Romanesque carving, the chapel of the tabernacle and two stained glass windows of Fernando Vicent, representing iconographically San Juan and San Miguel.
