André Rivest (born 28 April 1942 in Repentigny) is Bishop of Chicoutimi. Edit LifeQualtext

André Rivest received the priestly ordination on 14 May 1966.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on June 27, 1995 as auxiliary bishop in Montréal and as titular bishop of Thubursicum. The archbishop of Montréal, Jean-Claude Cardinal Turcotte, gave him the bishop's consecration on the 15th of August of that year; Co-conquerors were the auxiliary bishops in Montréal Jude Saint-Antoine and Leonard James Crowley. He chose Messagers d'espérance as his choice.
