Wilhelm (Hauteville)
Wilhelm (* around 1072; † 1 September 1097) was a Norman Crusader from Apulia. He came from the Norman nobility family of Hauteville on his mother's side. He was the brother of Tankred the cruiser of one of two sons of Emma, a daughter of Robert Guiskard. His father was Eudes Bon-Marchais (Odo "the good margrave"). On his mother's side he had an uncle, Bohemund von Tarent.
In 1096, he joined his brother Tankred, his uncle Bohemund, for the First Crusade. In the course of the Crusade, he was killed in battle on September 1, 1097. Edit sourcetext
