Li Zicheng
This is a Chinese name; the surname is Li.
Li Zicheng or Li Tzu-ch'eng (September 22, 1606, Shaanxi-1645, Hubei) was a leader of rebellion that led to the fall of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
He was a postal worker, joined the rebel cause in 1631 after a major famine in the northern part of his country. In 1644 he proclaimed himself as the first emperor of the new dynasty and marched on Peking, a city he took easily.
His victory was ephemeral; Wu Sangui, a general loyal to the Ming, asked the Manchu tribes to banish Zicheng and he fled north, where he was probably killed by the villagers.
