Leopold Andrian

He was a member of the "Young Vienna" circle and his best known work is Der Garten der Erkenntnis.

At the end of World War I, Andrian was the first director of the Vienna Opera, after leaving the abdication of the Austrian Emperor. Between the two wars, Andrian evolved towards a more Christian and conservative mentality and exiled to Brazil during World War II. He asked to be buried in the Austrian Alps where he spent the happiest moments of his youth.
