Trambaum
A tram tree is a strong beam in the structure of a wooden structure or a wooden machine like a pike.
The tram tree was referred to as trampling when the whole tree trunk was used. In the timber trade the tram tree stood as a special quality under the ship's fattening tree.
Nowadays the expression tram tree (also Holztram, Rüstbaum) is used above all in connection with imposing wooden trestles, on which wooden beam ceilings, such as Riemling blankets, rest. Sometimes numbers of the year, names of builders and ornaments ("Tramrose") are scored. Edit source text Single-level Edit source text
