Ponce V de Ampurias o Ponce Hugo IV de Ampurias (v 1264-1313), conde de Ampurias (1277-1313) y vizconde de Bas (1285-1291).
Son of Hugo V of Ampurias and Sibila of Palau, he inherited the county of Ampurias to the death of his father happened in 1277. His mother, a widow, sold the vizcondado of Bas to the king-king Peter the Great in 1280. Ponce V participated, in 1282, in the struggles of the Vespers Sicilian next to the king that compensated to him with the return of the vizcondado in 1285, as well as the rights over Fernando and Castellfollit de Riubregós.
He was Admiral of the fleet of James II the Just as King of Sicily, and accompanied him on his return to Catalonia in 1291.
He ceded the vizcondado of Bas to his brother Hugo on condition of restitution if he had no legitimate descendants. In exchange he acquired the lordships of Castellfollit, Montros and Montagut.
Contrary to many of the royal interests, he drove away, with arms, the officials sent by the king of Aragon, but ruined in 1306, had to submit.
Married in 1281 with the Marquesa de Cabrera, joining the lordship of Cabrera to the county of Ampurias. He had three children
